This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. According to IONOS, the data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union.

3. Server log files

Each time you visit a page, the hosting provider automatically records:

• the page or file requested,
• the website you came from (referrer),
• browser type, operating system and device type,
• date and time of the request,
• your IP address in anonymised form.

This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. The data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted after eight weeks.

4. No cookies, tracking or third-party services

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Fonts and scripts are served from this website’s own server, so visiting it does not connect your browser to third parties such as Google or content delivery networks.

5. Language setting

When you choose a language with the language switch, your choice (“en” or “de”) is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key site-lang, so that the website appears in the same language on your next visit. Nothing else is stored, the value does not identify you, and it is never sent to the server. It is saved only because you asked for it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; if your enquiry relates to a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The email addresses listed on this website are KIT addresses, so messages are processed on KIT’s mail systems. We delete your message once it is no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply.

The Team page shows names, photos, roles and work contact details of group members. Members can ask at any time for their information to be corrected or removed. The publication list is compiled from the public INSPIRE-HEP database in advance; viewing it does not connect your browser to INSPIRE-HEP.

8. External links

This website links to external sites such as KIT, INSPIRE-HEP, arXiv, Google Scholar and Google Maps. No data is sent to them unless you click a link. After that, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

• have it corrected (Art. 16 GDPR) or erased (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restrict its processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
